Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A major narcotics bust in St Louis County has lead to felony charges against 15 people.
The Boundary Waters Drug Task Force made the arrests for various reasons from possession of methamphetamine and the selling of drugs including Oxycodone and Morphine.
Authorities made the busts in Hibbing, Chisholm, Buhl, Mt. Iron, Eveleth and Virginia.
The busts happened between April 25 and May 17.
All suspects are expected to appear in court between June 6 and July 15.
Here is a summary of the charges:
Jesse Makela, Amanda Jean Meittunen and Joanne Louise Myers all charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.
Jennifer Hasbrouch, of Hibbing, charged with a felony count of sales of a controlled substance (Oxycodone)
Ryan Alsaker, of Forest Lake, charged with sale of a simulated controlled substance and sale of a non-controlled/simulated substance for substantially excessive consideration
Herman Lambert, of Hibbing, charged with a felony count of selling prescription medications
Olivia May Hanegmon, of Chisholm, charged with 3rd degree sale of a controlled substance (Morphine)
Michael William Wentzlaff, of Hibbing, charged with third degree sale of a controlled substance (oxycodone)
Mitchell Saltzman, of Mt Iron, charged with three felony counts of possession of a methamphetamine in a public housing zone, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and storing methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child
Ruth Andrea Thuringer, of Virginia, charged with five felony counts of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, 3rd degree sale of a controlled substance (Opana, Oxycodone and Clonazepam) and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance (Lorazepam).
Michelle Marie Sailor, of Eveleth, two felony counts of 5th degree possession of methamphetamine and storing meth paraphernalia in the presence of a child
Jason Anderson, Mt Iron, four felony counts of possession of a controlled substsance (methamphetamine), prohibited person in possession of a firearm and two counts of storing meth paraphernalia in the presence of a child
Nichole Gibson, of Eveleth, possession of methamphetamine, storing methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child and obstructing the legal process.
Bradley Unzeitig and Mackenzie Melbo, both of Buhl, charged with 5th degree possession of Marijuana after authorities found a small marijuana growing operation at a residence in Buhl.
The investigation was conducted by the St Louis County Sheriff's Office and the Boundary Waters Drug Task Force.
