Hibbing, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The city of Hibbing and union workers have agreed on a new three year contract.

In a special meeting Thursday, the City Council ratified the settlement agreement reached with members of AFSCME Local 791 Public Works Wednesday night.

Wages and a change in the insurance premium payments were the main items of concern that resulted in an eleven hour mediated session last week.

Terms of the agreement will be retroactive to January 1st of this year and run through the end of the 2016.
