Washington, D.C. (Northland's NewsCenter) - Flood-ravaged Northeastern Minnesota and other portions of the state are getting an extra shot in the arm in ongoing relief efforts.
Today US Senators Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken announced $5 million dollars is on its way to help fix roads.
The funding is allocated to the Minnesota Department of Transportation by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The money comes as part of the FEMA disaster declaration, but is separate from the money already awarded to Minnesota, according to Senator Al Franken's office.
