Babbitt, MN (NNCNOW.com) - An autopsy completed late Tuesday revealed a Minnesota man, the victim in a homicide, died from strangulation.

The Babbitt Police Department says 55-year-old Paul John Bulen of Mahtomedi was found lying in the roadway Monday morning.

He died at the hospital.

Authorities took a 24-year-old suspect is in custody in connection with the death.

He faces a second degree murder charge.

Lieutant Ed Kippley with the Sheriff's Department says neighbors were never in any danger.

"This is an isolated incident that involved two parties that knew each other, so I don’t believe it involves anybody else in the community," Said Lt. Ed Kippley with the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department.

It's unclear how the two victim and suspect are related.

A formal complaint is expected later this week from the St. Louis County attorney's office.
