(Northland's NewsCenter) ---A Babbitt man who stabbed a 3-year-old girl during a stand off with police last January has pleaded guilty to four felony assaults.
Derek Klingfus pleaded guilty to one count of assault in the First Degree, and three counts of assault in the Second Degree in court on Monday.
On January 24th, Babbitt Police Officer, Jon Shenett shot and wounded 27-year-old Klingfus as he held a toddler hostage at knife point.
Klingfus will be sentenced on Oct. 11.
