Weekend Storm Possible

Sunday all the models agree on bringing a low pressure system into the Northland. But in the last 36 hours the amount of snow forecasted to accumulate has diminished. With some lake enhancement we could still see 4-8" for the North Shore. Even higher amounts will be possible. For the Range I would expect 3-6, and The Twin Ports, Cloquet, Moose Lake area 2-4". Northern Wisconsin will see the least as a dry slot develops over the area, I am willing to go 1-3". Lows Sunday morning will be near 14 and highs will get up to 29. So it will be a wet and heavy snow. Winds will be out of the south at around 15-25mph with gusts near 35mph.


We will have a few lake effect snow showers into Monday for the South Shore as the winds shift from the North. There's a 30% chance of snow for the Twin Ports.


Tuesday is a different story! The models are bringing in a hefty low from Colorado that will have plenty of moisture. I am willing to go 70% for some snow, but will keep the amount of snow vague. This storm does have the potential to bring 10", but it's pretty far out and we will adjust the amounts as we get more data. The models are looking very consistent though, which builds confidence.
