Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - It was an out of the ordinary, but exciting, start to the work week for one Duluth couple.

Ken and Nan Greshowak spotted this young bobcat in their front yard early Monday morning.

They snapped about 30 pictures of the animal as it explored their front porch.

After investigating a birdfeeder, the cat pulled a mouse trap from a window well and had itself a little snack.

Ken said this isn't the first time they've had visitors.

"I think it's always been a thoroughfare, even before the roads were here," Ken said. "One thing to keep in mind is that, here between the expressway and the lake, sometimes they animals kind of funnel. Maybe that's what we get the chance to see a few more frequently."

The Minnesota DNR confirmed this was a bobcat, pointing to its long tail, dark feet, and the tassels on its ears.
