Cook, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- Charges are pending against a 20 year old Goleta, California man after he ran a stop sign and severed another vehicle in two pieces.
On August 2 around 7:20 a.m., the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to a two car accident at the intersection of Highway 115 and Vermillion Drive in Cook.
Laurel Marie Marjamaa, 60, of Angora, MN, was travelling south on Vermillion Drive, when Timothy J. Park ran through a stop sign and struck Marjamaa's car.
Marjamaa's car was severed into two pieces.
Marjamaa was flown to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.
Charges are pending against Park.
The crash remains under investigation.
