Chisholm-Based Guard unit prepares for Afghanistan deployment

Chisholm, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A send-off ceremony is planned for the 114th Transportation Unit based in Chisholm next month.

The 114th is being deployed for a second tour in Afghanistan.

“The Wolfpack” is responsible for quickly moving combat configured loads of ammunition and all classes of supply, shelters and containers.

The send-off ceremony will be held at the Chisholm High School auditorium on October 12th at 1 p.m. with a luncheon served at the National Guard Armory at 2:30 p.m, according to Glenn Jackola, with the Post Lloyd 247 Chisholm American Legion.

1,200 troops, family and supporters are expected at the event.

Donations can be mailed to Press Lloyd Post 247, 319 Lake St, Chisholm MN 55719. Make sure to note your donation is for the 114th ceremony.
