The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says that wolf hunting in the northeast zone will close for the remainder of the early season of shooting hours on Thursday, November 15.
The northwest zone will remain open through Sunday, November 18, in 100 series deer permit areas.
Hunters with permits for closed zones are allowed to hunt wolves in the northwest zone during the early season while it remains open.
The DNR closed the east central zone on Monday, November 5.
The harvest target for the northeast zone during the early season is 58 wolves. 57 were registered when DNR initiated the closing season.
Hunters in all zones have registered a total of 125 wolves so far. The harvest target is 200 wolves for the early season.
