GILBERT, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)---One of the nation's leading dental care management facilities on the Iron Range has plans for a $2.5 million expansion that is expected to create more than 100 new jobs.
DeCare Dental will add an approximate 10,000 square feet to its current facility in Gilbert.
The Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board approved a $2 million capital investment loan at its special board meeting in St. Paul, Friday.
As a result of expansion, 120 jobs will be created.
IRRRB Commissioner Tony Sertich says it's the most jobs created on the Iron Range in a single agency-involved project since 2003.
Governor Dayton will be signing this over the weekend," Sertich said. "We'll be able to get the paper work hopefully flowing next week. And construction this summer and into the fall.
Meanwhile Gilbert will get more than $500,000 in Infrastructure grants from the IRRRB and the Department of Employment and Economic Development to expand its parking lot.
