Hibbing, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Fifth grade students from Lincoln Elementary School in Hibbing helped with a planting project at Hibbing Taconite on Tuesday.

The weather was less than ideal, but the kids still took the opportunity to tour the mine and helped plant more than 800 grouse packets (mixture of Gray and Red Osier Dogwood, Highbush,, Cranberry, Hannyberry, Juneberry, Crabapple and White Spruce.)

The planting is part of Hibbing Taconite's reclamation activities in partnership with the IRRRB, University of Minnesota and the DNR.
