Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Authorities continue to investigate a fire that engulfed a home in Virginia, Minnesota Monday night.
The fire was first discovered on the porch but it quickly spread to engulf the entire home.
The blaze was raging when firefighters arrived.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the occupants of the house.
No one was hurt but the effort to put out the fire called for more resources than usual.

"Because of the extreme cold, the work span of the firefighters is very short to get them to rehab so the number of firefighters needed to do the task is double." Said Virginia Fire Chief, Dan Lallier.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, however authorities say they hope to wrap up their investigation within a few days.
Officials do not believe the fire is suspicious.
