First Leg of Sled Dog Race Complete

Cook County, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The first leg of a three-day sled dog race in Cook County is complete.

The first–ever Gichigami Express Sled Dog Race started in Grand Portage around nine a.m. Sunday and ended at Hungry Jack Lodge on the Gunflint Trail.

Musher Ross Fraboni is in first place so far, making the trek in 3 hours and 55 minutes.

The race continues Monday and finishes up on Tuesday.
