HIBBING, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)--A 32-year-old Hibbing man has been charged with two criminal felonies after he allegedly stabbed a man in Hibbing last Thursday night.
Jason Utto is charged with second degree assault and terroristic threats in connection with the stabbing of a 33-year-old Chisholm man who suffered stab wounds to the neck and arm.
Bail has been set at $80,000.
Thursday in Hibbing court, a judge denied Utto's request to be released until his trial.
Officials say Utto has an extensive criminal record including making terroristic threats, robbery, theft, disorderly and criminal sexual conduct.
Utto is being held in St. Louis County Jail in Duluth pending an omnibus hearing on March 1.
