St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota House DFL has released their proposed bonding bill that would allocate $800 million for projects statewide and create almost 22,800 jobs.

The $800 million in general obligation bonds would support infrastructure improvements and invest in higher education, transportation, housing, economic development, clean water and wastewater systems.

“As Minnesota’s economy continues to recover, this bill will go a long way to helping put people to work while improving and preserving our critical statewide infrastructure repairs,” said Rep. Alice Hausman, chair of Capital Investment. “Many of these projects are shovel and paint-ready and can be started almost immediately.”

Here in the Northland, the proposed House Bonding Bill would allocate money for the following projects:
- Range Regional Airport: $5,000,000
- Port Development Assistance: $8,000,000
- NorShor Theater: $4,950,000
- Wade Stadium: $250,000
- Virginia Mesabi Trail Relocation: $150,000
- Virginia Relocation of Utilities: $1,410,000

The bill will be debated and voted on at the House Capital Investment Committee hearing on Thursday.
