(Northland's NewsCenter)---Medical examination results from the two dogs allegedly shot on Iron Range by hunters confirm the dogs died from gun shot wounds.
Both the pure bred German Shepherds also suffered from fractured shoulders according to a Doctor at the Medicine Woman Vet Clinic in Lavell Township.
The dog owners say the animals ran off into the woods not far from a hunting stand on nearby property before they were found dead in the woods the next day.
Authorities continue to investigate the case and say the hunters could face charges of damage to private property.
