Two Iron Range Men Arrested Following Alleged Casino Theft

TOWER, MN (Northland's NewsCenter)---Two Iron Range men are facing felony theft charges for allegedly stealing $1,400 from a casino.

A 29-year-old Virginia man and a 27-year-old Aurora man were arrested on suspicion of theft from the Fortune Bay Resort and Casino in Tower on Friday around 4:30.

A video surveillance system recorded a casino cashier and his alleged accomplice returning large amounts of change during multiple transactions, according to authorities from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department.

Both men are in custody, awaiting charges at the St. Louis County jail in Virginia.

The Bois Forte Police Department and the Breitung Township Police department assisted in the arrest.
