Longville Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Stabbing Death

Walker, MN (NNCNOW.com ) --- A Longville, Minnesota man accused of stabbing and killing another man will spend the next 20 years in prison.

25-year-old Frank Jesse LaRose was sentenced Thursday in Cass County on charges of 2nd degree intentional murder.

LaRose stabbed 31-year-old James Raymond Elmberg during a party in February of 2012.

During the course of the night, LaRose began arguing with another individual and Elmberg intervened. Witnesses told authorities they saw LaRose approach the victim and stab him. LaRose stated that he perceived that Elmberg was lunging at him and struck him in the chest with a knife.
