Lost deer hunter found safe in Central Lakes

Central Lakes, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- A hunter was found safe by search crews after getting lost in the woods while out deer hunting in Central Lakes.

The St Louis County Rescue Squad was called to assist in the search the missing hunter after members of his hunting party were unable to locate him.

The hunter, 85-year-old Kenneth Biebl, of Scanlon was located unharmed around 5:00 p.m. Friday.

Biebl became lost after following a deer in the woods at which time Biebl fired three shots in the air from a rifle.

The shots were overheard by a neighboring hunter who was able to locate Biebl.

Biebl was approximately one mile from his hunting camp when found.
