Man Suffers Injuries and Hypothermia after Overturning Truck

Grand Rapids, MN (NNCNOW.com) -- A man flipped his pickup truck and was airlifted to a hospital with injuries and hypothermia.

On February 3 at 7:00 a.m., the Itasca County Sheriff's Office received a call of a motor vehicle accident, 15 miles south of Grand Rapids on County Road 3, also known as River Road.

Deputies say that 49-year-old William Jay Litchke went off the road, flipped his truck, and struck some trees.

Litchke was trapped inside his vehicle due to the accident.

He was transported by ambulance to Grand Itasca Hospital and then airlifted to St. Mary's in Duluth due to possible injuries from the accident and hypothermia.
