Iron Range, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Iron Range DFL lawmakers have announced millions in funding for key infrastructure projects. More than seven million dollars has been secured for Iron Range infrastructure projects.

They include more than $257,000 dollars for Nashwauk and Aurora, a storm water project in Hoyt Lakes, and 1.1 million dollars to McKinkley for a water line construction project to either Gilbert or Biwabik.

The funding was approved last legislative session by Governor Dayton and state lawmakers.

State Representatives Carly Melin and Jason Metsa along with Senator David Tomassoni have designated the funding for the projects.

Several other communities on the Iron Range have received thousands of dollars in funding for infrastructure-related projects. The money will be available in August 2014.
