Virginia, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Several garages and a home were involved in a Monday night fire in the North side area of Virginia.
The fire was reported around 8:30 pm in the 800 block of 12th Street North.
Firefighters from multiple departments including Biwabik battled the blaze into the late evening hours.
There are reports of some nearby homes suffering heat damage.
Two Virginia families were provided emergency lodging at a local hotel by the American Red Cross. Northland Chapter Disaster Action Team volunteer Gerry Holkko will meet with the families Tuesday to determine any additional disaster related needs.
“Fires are always devastating,” said Emergency Services Manager Tony Guerra. “But when so many are involved, it’s always worse.”
There were no reports of anyone hurt.
