No Agreement on Minnesota Special Session

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - There's still no agreement between lawmakers in St. Paul on a special session to discuss disaster relief.

Both DFL and GOP leaders said Friday they'd like to avoid a special session and they have some options on the table.

The session, proposed by Governor Mark Dayton would focus on providing disaster relief from storms this summer that caused $17.8 million in damages.

Lawmakers would also look at repealing sales tax on equipment for farmers to help in the aftermath of last year's drought and the long winter.

The special session would take place September 9th.
