North Carolina Man Charged in Virginia Stabbing; Says He Defended Himself

Virginia, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- A Raleigh, North Carolina man has been charged in connection with a stabbing that happened in Virginia on Saturday.

According to the Mesabi Daily Press, 31 year old Quincy Lamont Pemberton was charged with felony first degree assault and two counts of felony second degree assault for allegedly stabbing two people early Saturday morning.

However, Pemberton told police that he was defending himself.

The alleged victims, 23-year-old Kyle Sandstrom, who was stabbed in the chest, and 31-year-old Eric Briski, who was stabbed in the leg, have both been treated and released from the hospital.
