Power restored to 3,500 Minnesota Power customers on the Iron Range

Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Lights were out for about an hour and a half in some towns on the Iron Range Friday after lightning struck a substation, according to a Minnesota Power spokesperson.

Some of the affected towns included Hibbing, Gilbert, Eveleth and Virginia.

Power was restored just before 9:30 p.m.
