Public Meeting Set for Highway 53 Relocation Project

Mountain Iron, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The public is invited to an open house to learn more about Highway 53 Relocation project between Virginia and Eveleth.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting the meeting on Monday, April 22 from 4-7 p.m. at the Mountain Iron Community Center in Mountain Iron, Minnesota.

Attendees of the meeting will be able to discuss the project with MnDOT staff and leave comments.

The topics to be discussed at the meeting are the scoping and Environmental Impact Statement process, project timelines and the budget for the project.

Highway 53 must be rerouted due to a termination of easement rights.
