Deer River, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- One person was sent to the hospital after a train collided with a semi truck near the intersection of Highway 2 and Cedar Road in Deer River, MN.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, around 10:00 AM on Friday, August 3rd, 42 year old Keith Graves of Bovey, MN was driving his semi truck on Highway 2 when he turned onto Cedar Road, and collided with a train.
Graves was taken to the Deer River Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the train, 56 year old Rodney Schaeffer of Duluth, MN sustained no apparent injuries.
Authorities say the semi-truck was totaled.
The Minnesota State Patrol, Deer River Police Department and the Itasca County Sheriff's Office all responded to the scene.
