Three injured in Crane Lake boating accident

St. Louis County, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Three people were injured in a boating accident on Crane Lake Wednesday night.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Department, the boat was entering the south side of King Williams Narrows on Crane Lake around 10:15 p.m., when the boat hit some rocks and two passengers were ejected.

The third passenger called for help using the boat's marine radio.

All three men were taken to the Cook Hospital and later taken to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth with non life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff's Department says alcohol was not a factor in the accident and no life jackets were worn at the time of the accident.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident.
