Teenager recovering in Duluth hospital after going airborne on ATV

Eveleth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A teenager from Rogers is recovering has been recovering in a Duluth hospital Sunday after going airborne on his ATV near Eveleth.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, 14–year–old Anthony Muhich had been following his father on a trail in a gravel pit, near Highway 53 and the Thunderbird Trail in Fayal Township, around 10:30 Sunday morning.

At one point Muhich veered off the path and went over the ledge of a small hill, went airborne, and crashed at the bottom. He sustained non–life threatening injuries to his left shoulder, arm, and leg.

Virginia Ambulance transported Muhich to Saint Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
