Virginia, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Essentia Health officials are reporting that a tentative contractual agreement with the Minnesota Nurses Association has been reached.
Last month, frustrations over contract negotiations led to Iron Range nurses picketing outside of the Essentia Health Virginia hospital.
The main disagreements were centered on staffing shortages and employee benefits.
According to hospital spokespeople, they were able to find common ground on issues such as health insurance and wages.
They added they feel the agreements are beneficial to both parties.
The tentative agreement still needs to be ratified by the union.
