Victim of Attempted Robbery in Hibbing Behind Bars

(Northland's NewsCenter)--The victim of an attempted robbery in Hibbing is now behind bars following the arrest of three suspects involved in the incident.

Police believe the attempted robbery occurred after a drug deal went sour on the 400 block of east 16th street.

Three men, ages 19, 20 and 17 are being held on numerous charges including aggravated robbery and assault.

During the incident, police say the robbery victim shot a gun at one of the suspects who was armed with a machete.

Meanwhile an 8-month-old child was sleeping in the next room.
With a search warrant police took a handgun and more than $19,000 in what is believed to be drug money from the victim's apartment.
