Wet Conditions Cause Fatal Accident

By KBJR News 1

One person is dead and three others are injured following a two vehicle collision Thursday morning on highway two near Proctor.
Authorities say wet road conditions are believed to be the cause of the crash.

A minivan was westbound when it lost control and was struck by an S-U-V in the oncoming lane.
With recent rainfall amounts, authorities want drivers to be aware of looming roadway hazards.

"Even at slower speeds, when you're coming around curves or you're coming down hills or whatever, you can hydroplane, so you really have to adjust your speeds for rain."

One of the injured occupants remains in critical condition, while the other two sustained non- life threatening injuries.
