Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - One of the Twin Ports premier backyard holiday light display is shining brightly from the shores of Park Point.

Now in its 14th year, Marcia Hale is opening her festive backyard attraction to the public for a free illuminating walk through the holiday season.

The lights turned on at 5 o'clock Friday evening and despite the cold temperatures, the artistic display shined brightly.

This display started back in 1999 and has grown over the years, to now more than 120,000 lights. Visitors from as far as Sweden and Russia and as close as right next door enjoy the sights of the lights.

The walk through is open to the public from 5-9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through January 7th.

Santa will be making an appearance most Friday and Saturday evenings through the season.

Hale pays for most of the display out of her own pocket. The Duluth Community Club does provide some donations.

You can check out the festive display in person at 3739 Lake Avenue South, in Duluth.
