Seven Northlanders Displaced By Two Separate Fires

By KBJR News 1

A fire this evening in Duluth's Lincoln Park has left a family of five displaced.

Smoke and flames were reported around 5:40PM at a two story duplex at 2313 W. 10th Street.

Two adults, three children, and four cats made it out of the house safely.

Seven fire rigs and 20 firefighters responded to the blaze which fire officials are calling significant loss of about 50-thousand dollars.

The cause of the fire is unknown and still under investigation.

As far as the family is concerned, the Hawthorne Suites donated a room for the family for the night and the Red Cross will extend their stay, provide clothing, and food.

A family of two was also displaced after they lost their home to a fire today in Carlton County.

Red Cross Volunteers met with that family earlier today and provided assistance.
