Small Fire Sparks Evacuation At UWS

By KBJR News 1

A small blaze sparked an evacuation at the University of Wisconsin Superior campus Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the Holden Fine Arts Center when a smoke detector went off there.

''There was some sort of flare up in the chimney in the exhaust of the pottery kiln in the fine arts center which created a small fire in the roof line.''

There weren't many students in the building because it's spring break.
No one was injured.

The building will reopen on Monday.
