It may be April, but it looked more like December for residents on the Iron Range.

Many on the Range and along the North Shore are digging out after a winter blast dumped several inches of wet snow on Sunday and early Monday.

Much of that wet snow downed several tree limbs and power lines across Northeastern Minnesota, cutting power to thousands of Lake Country Power customers.

Officials say power should be restored by Monday evening.

Some places reported two feet of snow, and several schools and businesses closed as a result of the wintry weather.

Other places like the Twin Ports saw freezing rain, snow and rain, added with wind gusts upwards of 10-20 mph, which also made for difficult driving conditions.
