Duluth, MN (Northland’s NewsCenter) --- While some Gales of November come early, as Gordon Lightfoot so famously sang, this two-day squall was expected.

The 25th annual Gales of November blew into the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center for the weekend, bringing with it Great Lakes education, information, and fun for the family.

The two-day event featured art and exhibits on everything from invasive species, to shipwrecks, and the latest in underwater technology.

Even the littlest of sailors were able to learn a thing or two from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's own "Coasty" the Tugboat.

Proceeds from the Gales of November help maintain and preserve the Lakes Superior Maritime Visitor Center.
