St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- 18 wolves have been killed so far during the late season in Minnesota's wolf hunt.
The late season started on November 24th after the early season wrapped up just a few days earlier. The early wolf hunt season saw 147 wolves killed.
So far in the late season for the wolf hunt, 10 wolves have been harvested in the Northwest region out of a quota of 187; one wolf has been harvested in the East Central region out of a quota of ten; and seven wolves have been harvested in the North East region out of a quota of 56.
A total of 253 wolves can be taken during the late season.
The late season will end on January 13th, 2013. A zone may close early if the harvest quota is met before the end of the season.
