MN State Rep. Melin Appointed to Key House Committees

St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) - State Representative Carly Melin (DFL-Hibbing) will serve on several key House Committees in the upcoming 2013-2014 legislative session.

The appointments, made by Speaker-Elect Paul Thissen, include: Capital Investment, Taxes, Early Childhood and Youth Development Policy and Rules and Legislative Administration.

Rep. Melin will also serve as Vice-Chair of the Judiciary Finance and Policy Committee.

“It is an honor to be assigned to these legislative committees and for the opportunity to help shape legislation that will directly impact the residents of Northeast Minnesota,” Rep. Melin stated in a news release. “Jobs are always my top priority so serving on Capital Investment is the perfect opportunity for me to push for wise infrastructure investments that will create construction and long-term jobs.”

Rep. Melin is entering her second term as State Rep.
