$11 Million In Transportation Funds Directed To Projects In Northern MN

By KBJR News 1

Over 11-million dollars in unused transportation funds have been directed to four projects in Northeastern Minnesota.

U.S. Congressman Jim Oberstar secured the funding which the House of Representatives approved Wednesday afternoon.

Some of that money has been earmarked for improvements in the Northland, including more than two million dollars to continue upgrades on Elizabeth Avenue in Coleraine in Itasca County, and $800,000 to design and construct the Clair Nelson Intermodal Center in Finland, Minnesota.

To make it law President Bush needs to sign the bill.
