400 Duluth 6th Graders Graduate From Dare

By KBJR News 1

Nearly 400 sixth graders made a pledge to stay drug-free Tuesday night.

The Duluth Police Department held its DARE graduation at the DECC.

The program began in Duluth back in 1992 to give kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence.

Mayor Don Ness, Police Chief Gordan Ramsay, and Superintendent Keith Dixon were also at the ceremony to encourage the students to stay away from drugs.
