City Of Superior And Businesses To Train For Disaster

By KBJR News 1

The City of Superior will be more prepared than ever during a disaster, thanks to a special series of training workshops being offered this month.

The Critical Incident Protocol Community Facilitation program will bring together both public and private sectors to collaborate together on how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters, accidents and emergencies.

Superior Fire Chief Tad Matheson says it's important to have emergency authorities and businesses working together in the even of disaster:

"We'll bring everybody together and see exactly how everybody fits in as far as incident command. How private and public work together. It will be a learning experience for all of us.".

The first workshop is scheduled for May 28 at WITC.
