Ashland Intersection Under Review

By KBJR News 1

Ashland authorities will hold a public information meeting to outline two possible options for a new u.s. Highway 2 and state highway 13 intersection.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at the Great Lakes Visitor Center from 5 PM to 8 PM

According to wisconsin department of transportation...the meeting will focus on traffic lights and "round-a-bouts" as potential alternatives to the existing intersection.

The dangerous intersection has been a topic of debate for years... following a number of severe accidents.

A roundabout would work well at this intersection. A traffic-signal option to the roundabout could aid the roundabout during times of heavy or event traffic.
