Man Dies In Industrial Accident In Hibbing

By KBJR News 1

A man was killed in an industrial accident Monday morning at the Dom-Ex scrap yard in Hibbing.

According to our partners at the Mesabi Daily News an emergency dispatcher notified the Hibbing Fire Department of the accident shortly before 11 am.

Fire officials said the man was reportedly trapped under a large piece of equipment but that he was no longer pinned by the time rescue crews arrived.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead on the scene.

Authorities are withholding the name of the victim.

Dom-Ex is a division of H-E Parts International, which serves the mining and construction industries with replacement parts for off-highway heavy mobile equipment.
