Patient Transported During Plane Crash Dies

The patient transported by a medical helicopter that later crashed in Wisconsin has died.

The Crawford County Coroner says 86 year old Mary Kricke suffered bleeding in her brain and died hours after getting dropped off at a La Crosse hospital.

The U-W Med Flight helicopter crashed Saturday night on the way home to Madison after transporting Kricke.

A doctor, nurse and pilot on board were killed.

The National Transportation Safety Board hopes to release a preliminary report on the accident later this month.
