Duluth police are investigating another armed home invasion in the Central Hillside.

Authorities were called to a home on North 1st Avenue East and 6th Street Monday just after 4 in the morning.

When police arrived they learned there had been an intruder with a gun but the person had fled shortly before they arrived.

Within a short time authorities stopped a vehicle and found a man hiding in the backseat.

The man matched the description of the intruder and a gun, registered in his name was found in his possession.

The passenger was positively identified as the man who had invaded the house with a gun.

Both the driver and passenger were arrested and are being held in the St. Louis County jail.

Charges including assault, felon in possession of a firearm, terroristic threats and first degree burglary are pending against the passenger.

Charges of Aiding and Abetting first degree burglary are pending against the owner of the gun.

How was the gun registered in his name? Minnesota doesn't do registration.
