Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - Wednesday kicked off Life House's second annual "Throw Homelessness a Curve Ball" campaign.
During July anyone who enrolls in the "Adopt-A-Kid" program for $29 a month will receive four free tickets to any Duluth Huskies baseball game in the month of July.
The money provides one homeless teen with essentials such as food and shelter.
It also helps Life House give teens access to education and employment resources.
"Life house serves, on average, 600 teens a year. For the second year in a row now, we have seen about one out of three teens that are homeless right when they come to life house," said Jeff Woolverton, the Development Director at Life House.
Woolverton says creating community partnerships helps them provide more resources for homeless teens to get them on track to be productive adults.
