Northstar Aerospace is expanding, and a new grant will help Lake Superior College train their new employees.

Northstar Aerospace currently has 115 employees but plans to expand to 300 in the next three years.

"As an employer, we have to develop programs to make sure we have skilled workers for today and in the future," said President and CEO of Northstar Aerospace John Eagleton, "Used to be the educators that took care of that, but now industry has to take care of that."

Nrothstar Aerospace partnered with Lake Superior College to get a $200,000 grant form the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

The money will go towards training 40 new employees this fall and for expanded training for current workers.
