Fatal Accident on Wisconsin Highway

A 71- year old man was killed on a Wisconsin highway after his pickup truck left the road and struck several trees Saturday night.

The Sawyer County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of the one vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 27 and Highway 70.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the truck, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle upon impact.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the victim has not been released pending family notification.
